Buet, DU, CU and RU also decided not to hold centralized entry exams
Authorities at Jahangirnagar University have decided not to follow the uniform admission test system for enrolling students for the academic year 2020-2021.
The decision was taken at the academic meeting of the university on Tuesday.
JU Proctor (acting) ASM Ferozul Hasan confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
“Right now, we will follow our existing guidelines. Later, if necessary we will decide to follow it with the course of time,” he said.
On February 12, the University Grants Commission (UGC) decided to hold central admission tests for all public universities from the 2020-2021 academic year.
Earlier, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), Dhaka University (DU), Chittagong University (CU) and Rajshahi University (RU) also decided not to follow UGC’s centralized entry test for admission.
