DU online application process begins from August 5

This is the first time Dhaka University will hold written test for admissions

The online application process for first year honours admission at Dhaka University (DU) for 2019-20 academic session, is set to begin on August 5.   

The applications will be accepted till August 27 midnight.

Dhaka University has announced to take written test, first time ever in the history, in the upcoming admission test. 

The decision was taken at the general admission meeting, chaired by DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman, at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on Wednesday afternoon.

The admission test for DU’s “Ka”unit will be held on September 20, “Kha” unit on September 21, “Ga” unit on September 13, “Gha” unit on September 27, “Cha” unit (MCQ) on September 14, and “Cha” unit (drawing) on September 28.

The MCQ test will be taken on 75 marks while the written test will be held on 45 marks, the committee has decided. 

The applicants will get 50 and 40 minutes, respectively for the MCQ and the written test.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Muhammad Samad, convener of the Online Admission Committee Prof Dr Subrata Kumar Aditya, dean of various faculties, chairman and directors of various departments, were present at the meeting, among others.
