The cadet colleges retain their prestige in HSC 2019
The cadet colleges in Bangladesh, run under the direct supervision of the Bangladesh Army, have retained their success in Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) examination of 2019.
An Inter Service Public Relation Directorate press release on Wednesday said, among the 612 examinees from the 12 cadet colleges in the country — 594 secured GPA-5 — the highest achievable score in HSC.
According to the release, 100% of the examinees of Feni Girls Cadet College, Jaypurhat Girls Cadet College, Faujdarhat Cadet College, Mirzapur Cadet College, Sylhet Cadet College, Rangpur Cadet College, Barisal Cadet College, and Pabna Cadet College passed the examination with GPA-5.
Nearly 85% among 52 examinees secured GPA-5 in Jhenaidah Cadet College. Out of the 50 examinees of Rajshahi Cadet College, 48 secured GPA-5, while candidates of Mymensingh Girls Cadet College and Comilla Cadet College secured 82% and 98% GPA-5 respectively.
The cadet colleges also produced 18 candidates with GPA-4 with no one failing the examination, retaining their prestige of academic excellence.
