JSC, JDC examinations begin

578 students are taking the JSC and JDC examinations at nine overseas centers

The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations have begun across Bangladesh.

A total of 2,670,333 students are taking part in the exam which began on Thursday morning.

Students from 29,677 educational institutions appeared for the examinations at 2,903 centers, across Bangladesh, reports UNB.

A total of 2,267,343 students –1,043,752 boys and 1,223,591 girls – are taking the JSC examination while 402,990 students – 179,980 boys and 223,010 girls – are taking the JDC examination.

Some 246,353 irregular students are also participating in the JSC examination while 34,251 are taking part in the JDC exams. 

The number of special students in JSC is 130,785 while in JDC 30,548.

Additionally, 578 students are taking the JSC and JDC examinations at nine overseas centers.

The JSC examinations will end on November 15 while the JDC will end on November 14.

In 2017, a total of 2,468,820 students appeared for the JSC and JDC examinations.
