Students from 29,677 educational institutions will take part in the exams in 2,903 centres
The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations are set to begin on Thursday, November 1, for this year.
Students from 29,677 educational institutions will take part in the exams in 2,903 centres throughout Bangladesh.
A total of 2,670,333 students will be sitting for the examinations, reports UNB.
Among them, 2,267,343 students (1,043,752 boys and 1,223,591 girls) will sit for the JSC examinations, while 4,02,990 examinees (179,980 boys and 223,010 girls) for the JDC examinations.
Some 246,353 irregular students will take part in the JSC examination while 34,251 students will take the JDC exam. The number of special students in JSC is 130,785 and in JDC is 30,548.
In addition, 578 students will sit for the JSC and JDC in nine overseas centres.
The JSC examinations will end on November 15 and JDC on November 14.
In 2017, a total of 2,468,820 examinees appeared at the JSC and JDC examinations.
