DU to probe admission test ‘question leakage’ incident

Vice chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman told reporters that it was not a question paper leakage incident rather the probe committee has been formed to investigate into the matter whether it was a digital forgery or not

The Dhaka University (DU) authority has formed a three-member probe committee to investigate into the allegation of ‘question leakage’ of the "Gha"(A) unit entry test.

DU Pro-VC (administration) Professor Muhammad Samad led the three member committee. Other two members are Biology Faculty Dean Prof Emdadul Hoque and assistant proctor Maksudur Rahman, reports BSS.

The committee has been asked to submit the report within 48 hours. “The committee was formed on Friday night. We are conducting consecutive meetings to this end,” Prof Samad said.

A rumour was spread that some screenshots of questions were seen on social media prior to the exam on Friday.

The undergraduate admission test in 2018-19 academic session of Gha (A) Unit of Dhaka University (DU) was held at 81 centers in and outside the DU campus where a total of 95,341 applicants applied against 1,615 seats.
