The online application process for admission to first year honours courses at Dhaka University (DU) for academic year 2018-19, began yesterday and will continue till August 26.

The admission test for DU’s “Ka”unit will be held on September 28, “Kha” unit on September 21, “Ga” unit on September 14, “Gha” unit on October 12, “Cha” unit (MCQ) on September 15, and “Cha” unit (drawing) on September 22.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Nasreen Ahmad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Muhammad Samad, Treasurer Prof Md Kamal Uddin, convener of the Online Admission Committee Prof Md Hasibur Rashid, andProctor AKM Golam Rabbani were present at the meeting, among others.
Students eligible for the examination will have to pay Tk 350 (including bank and IT charge) for each unit to the university through authorized branches of Sonali, Agrani, Janata, or Rupali bank.
This year, a total of 7,083 seats are available, with 1,765 for “Ka” (Science) unit, 2,363 for “Kha” (Arts) unit, 1,250 for “Ga” (Business) unit, 1,540 for “Gha” (combined) unit, and 135 for “Cha” (Fine Arts) unit.
