Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) has set admission dates for undergraduates for the academic year 2018-2019, from October 26-28.
The announcement was made at the office of Vice Chancellor Dr M Wahiduzzaman, who presided over the meeting of the academic council of the university. The admissions for the A and B units will be held on October 26, C and D units on October 27, and E and F units on October 28.
In order to gain admission, a student must have an SSC certificate, and must have passed their HSC exams in 2017 or 2018.
Mandatory subjects for each unit include mathematics for Unit A, biology for Unit B, mathematics and biology for Unit C, arts and social sciences for Unit E, and business for Unit F. Students looking to change their field of study are to enroll in Unit D.
A seven-person committee has been established to ensure a fair, modern, and digitized admission test.
The previous session, for the academic year 2017-2018, was held from November 3-4, 2017. This year, the admission test has been moved up in order to avoid session jams.
