Agami distributes awards for second wall magazine competition

A total of 15 Agami-directed schools across Bangladesh participated in the contest that was themed “21 February/International Mother Language Day.”

Agami Education Foundation, a sister organisation of Agami Inc. USA, held an award-giving ceremony on May 12, 2018 for its second wall magazine competition at Diabari in Uttara. A total of 15 Agami-directed schools across Bangladesh participated in the contest that was themed “21 February/International Mother Language Day.”

A total of 47 students and 12 teachers from different schools received their prizes after an on-spot art competition among the students in a wonderful natural environment. The theme of the art competition was “Nature” and the best works will be given prizes after a voting on social media.

Farid Ahmed Bhuiyan, managing director of RP constructions hosted the programme in his beautiful farm-house, and also sponsored the lunch. Students and teachers who enjoyed every moment of the programme were transported by a hired bus by AEF.

Nafisa Khanam, executive director of AEF, Tazkera Khanam, director of finance, AEF, Abul Bashar Khan, procurement specialist of SMEC, Saleha Anwar, former teacher of Holy Cross Girls’ High School, Mahfuza Khanam, former teacher of Shahid Anwara School, Sanchita Rani Das and Bivash Das were present there and handed over the certificates and awards to the winners. 

Alok Shishu Shikhkhyaloy and PSD Nandipara School from Dhaka won first place in Group A and B respectively while Milon High School from Netrakana won the Group C category. 

The winners’ list:

Group-A: (class III-IV)

1st – Alok Shishu Shikhkhyaloy, 2nd – Bangladesh Mohila Samity Primary School and Music for Development (co-winners), 3rd – PSD Nandipara

Group-B: (class V)

1st – PSD Nandipara, 2nd – Alok Shishu Shikhkhyaloy, 3rd – Music for Development

Group-C: (class VI-VIII)

1st – Milon High School, 2nd – Nayalavanga Girls’ High School, 3rd – Music for Development and Shohag Swapnadhara Pathshala (co-winners)
