Students of 109 educational institutions were not among the 77.77% of those that passed the Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations across the country, according to examination results published on Sunday.
Last year, the number of schools where no students passed SSC exams was 93.

However, in 2016, no students passed from 53 schools.
After the results were published Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid told reporters: “Last year we identified a number of institutions where no students passed. They might have improved this year. This year more schools have been added to the list.”

The number of students of these schools is very low. We found two students of a school sat for the examinations and both of them failed.”
