Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB) and the Embassy of Japan jointly organized a seminar to promote study opportunities in the Far East country among the students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology at its own campus on Saturday.
The seminar, titled “Study in Japan Seminar 2018”, was held in cooperation with the department of civil engineering of the premier engineering university of Bangladesh.
More than 60 students in Master’s programs and young faculty members of Buet participated in the seminar, which provided information on higher education, studying and living costs in Japan, as well as the Japanese government scholarships for students including the country’s ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) scholarships.
The seminar also included a presentation on life in Japan by two faculty members of Buet who had recently returned from the country, followed by presentation on various scholarship schemes.
The head of civil engineering department, officials from the Japanese Embassy and members of JUAAB were present during the seminar.
