As the question leakage spree continues, the Education Ministry has backtracked on its move to arrange public examinations under all education boards with uniform question scripts.
The decision was taken in a meeting held in Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid’s office in Dhaka on Wednesday, said Sohrab Hossain, secretary to the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Division.

The boards will prepare multiple sets of question scripts as needed, and the set on which an exam will be held will be chosen after the examinees enter their test centres. And, before an exam starts, the teachers and staff concerned will not allowed to see which one of the sets has finally been picked, he added.

In an effort to prevent the question leakage, the ministry earlier this year ordered all coaching centres across the country be closed at least three days before the beginning of Secondary School Certificate examinations, and it also decided to hold the exams under all the boards with uniform question scripts.
