A set of the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) of Bangla second paper subject in the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations has been allegedly leaked despite many steps taken by the government to prevent such occurrence.
The Bangla 2nd paper test was held between 10am and 1pm on Saturday across the country.
But the ‘Kha’ set MCQ paper were reportedly available on Facebook nearly an hour before the test, and it was later found to be exactly same as the question paper on which Saturday’s test was taken.
Many also alleged that another version of the question paper had made rounds in different groups and pages on the social networking site since Friday midnight.
The ‘Kha’ set MCQ paper of Bangla first paper was also leaked in similar way in the morning last Thursday before that test was held.
Despite surveillance on several Facebook groups and pages since Friday night, the ‘Kha’ set MCQ paper was found available in a Facebook group around 9am Saturday.
It later spread to other groups and pages within minutes. The leaked question paper was also found to be legit when it was compared with the ‘Kha’ set MCQ paper collected from examinees after the test.
Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury, acting chairman of Dhaka Education Board, said they did not know anything about the leak. “We are also maintaining surveillance. We will compare the question papers. Then we will take further steps.”
Before the SSC exams started, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid had said that they had many preventive measures in place to stop question papers from leaking during this year’s tests.
On Thursday, he also reaffirmed that the ministry would cancel the exams if a question leakage was proven.
