Nahid urges no protests and demos during SSC exams
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has called upon the political parties to avoid violent programs during the secondary school certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations. He said political parties should consider the issue of over two million SSC and equivalent examinees before they plan a protest or demonstration of any sort. The education minister briefed reporters after visiting the exam center at Government Laboratory High School on Thursday morning in Dhaka. He also said: “Do not do anything that jeopardizes the future of our two million children. This is a request to all political and non-political parties” Regarding the issue of question paper leaks, the education minister reaffirmed that the ministry will cancel the exams if a question leakage is proven.
