JU authorities detain four more admission seekers for hiring proxies
Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have detained four more students for hiring proxies in the admission test for 2017-18 sessions. Two others, who were in cahoots with one of the aspirants, were also held on Monday over suspected involvement in the fraud. The students were caught red-handed when faculty members found that their handwritings did not match, JU Proctor Tapan Kumar Saha told the Dhaka Tribune. The detainees were identified as Nishad Ahmed, Ashrafuzzaman Noyon, Mahmudul Bashir Sourav, Naimur Rahman, Naimur Rahman Sarker and Rizwan Ahmed. All of them were handed over to Ashulia police later. On Tuesday, four other admission seekers, detained over same charges, were handed over to police.
