Dhaka University holds admission test on questions leaked out 7 hours earlier
A whole section in the question paper for Dhaka University's 'Gha unit' admission test for the 2017-18 academic session was leaked about seven hours before the exam, it has emerged. The university authorities claimed that they did not have any information or evidence on question paper leak. However, the English section in the question paper and the leaked questions were found to be the same. A total of 98,054 applicants took the test against 1,610 seats of three groups – science, business and humanities. The tests were held from 10am to 11am at 86 centers inside and outside the university campus on Friday morning. When contacted, Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman told the Dhaka Tribune that he was unaware about the question leak. He criticised those who did not inform the university authorities about the leak even after learning about it. “We will take action against them,” he said.
