The results of Ka and Cha unit admission tests of Dhaka University for the 2017-18 session were published on Wednesday.
Some 23.37% of test takers qualified for enrolment at the university under the Faculty of Sciences (Ka unit) and only 2.75% under the Faculty of Fine Arts.
DU interim Vice-Chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman announced the results at the university’s central admission office at 1pm.
The Ka unit test took place on October 13, and preliminary and drawing tests of the Cha unit on September 16 and 23 respectively.
A total of 82,453 candidates took part in the Ka unit test against 1765 seats. In the final result of Cha unit, 304 out of preliminarily selected 1552 candidates secured the pass mark.
The candidates who secured pass marks in the Ka unit test can fill in subject choice and personal details forms on the DU website on November 5-15. Those wishing to apply for re-scrutiny of their results have been asked to apply and pay required fees to the office concerned on October 19-25.
Acting Dean of the Engineering and Technology Faculty Dr Md Hasanuzzaman, Dean of the Fine Arts Faculty Prof Nisar Hossain, President of Dhaka University Teachers’ Association Prof Maksud Kamal, and the admission test committee’s convener Prof Dr Hasibur Rashid were present at the result publication event.
