Police say Details can be said once the autopsy report is available, say police
A 25-year-old doctor was found hanged at his home in Dhaka on Saturday.
Mahfuza Akter Munni, who graduated from the Mymensingh Medical College, used to live with her classmates at an apartment in the capital’s Khilkhet, said police.
“She was preparing to get herself admitted in a medical course after completing her MBBS,” said Sub-Inspector Sabrina Rahman of the Khilkhet police.
Munni was alone as her roommate went to her hometown, she said.
The hanging body was recovered late on Saturday after the incident was reported to the police.
Munni’s family were not aware of any trauma that may have previously affected her, according to Sub-Inspector Sabrina.
Family members described Munni as a quiet person, she said.
It seems like a case of suicide caused by excessive study pressure, said the police officer before adding: “Details can be said when the autopsy report is available.”
