A teenage boy has been arrested by police for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl in Hazaribagh, Dhaka.
The child was admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Center (OCC) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday night after her family learned of the assault.
Earlier that day, the 16-year-old accused was also taken into custody by police after the girl’s mother filed a case at Hazaribagh police station.

Hazaribagh police’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohsin Ali said the teenager, who works at a shoemaking factory, lives in the same building as the child’s family in Hazaribagh's Kalunagar area.
The boy sexually abused the girl after luring her to his room on Friday afternoon, SI Ali said quoting her family.
The girl is currently undergoing medical tests and treatment at the OCC.
