The Detective Branch made the disclosure at a press briefing at the DMP media centre on Saturday afternoon.
In the briefing, DB Chief (Additional Commissioner) AKM Hafiz Akter said that the arrestees have been manufacturing fake notes for the last five to six years and then passing them off to their associates.
“This ring is experienced in making fake notes of US dollars, no one can guess that these are fake,” Hafiz Akter said.
The fake note gang mainly targeted Eid and Durga Puja seasons.
