Locals found the leg in a dustbin
Police on Friday recovered an amputated leg of a human from a dustbin at Darus Salam area in the capital.
“It was a bandaged right leg of someone,” said Saifur Rahman, sub-inspector of Darus Salam police station.
He said that locals found the leg near Darus Salam Tower dustbin in the afternoon and then called emergency helpline 999.
Police recovered the leg but is yet to identify whether it was from a male or a female.
The leg was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue, the police official added.
He also said police were investigating the matter.
