20 cases have been filed against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act
Detective police have arrested 28 persons on charges of selling and consuming drugs during different anti-narcotics drives in Dhaka in the last 24 hours till 6am on Monday.
The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in association with local police stations, carried out the simultaneous drives starting at 6am on Sunday, a DMP media release said.
Police recovered 3,468 pieces of Yaba tablets, 20 grams of heroin, and 21.16 kgs of cannabis from the arrestees’ possession.
A total of 20 cases have been filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
