DNCC already completed cleaning activities at the hospitals, the DNCC official says
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has decided to operate anti-mosquito drive at hospitals with a view to destroying mosquito breeding grounds as well as checking dengue and chikunguniya in the capital city.
“We will operate drives at hospitals to eliminate aedes larvae, as part of programmes to prevent dengue outbreak,” Chief Health Officer of DNCC Brig Gen Md Mominur Rahman Mamun said in a video message on Friday, reports BSS.
“We will run such a programme so that doctors, nurses, patients, and other people of the hospital can’t be infected with dengue and chikunguniya,” he said.
“Larviciding” pesticide would be sprayed in the morning and “adulticiding” would be sprayed in the evening at the hospitals and its adjacent areas from tomorrow till Thursday.
Meanwhile, DNCC already completed cleaning activities at the hospitals, he added.
