Meanwhile, DU Teachers’ Association has announced to donate the sum of two days’ salary from all the teachers to the Prime Minister’s relief fund.
In another development, Dhaka University central Students’ Union (Ducsu) on Wednesday requested the university authorities to donate the concerned unused expenditure allocation of each of the 18 halls against the Bangla New Year celebrations to the same fund (PM’s fund).
Earlier, Ducsu recommended the authorities to shut down the university temporarily, or announce an early summer vacation," and it placed a memorandum to that effect to the Vice-Chancellor on March 15.
