The concert was organized by Young Bangla youth organization and Centre for Research and Information (CRI).

The concert gates opened at 11am, but fans started crowding the curb in front of the army stadium a lot earlier than that. As expected the concert fans clogged up the traffic on Dhaka-Mymensingh Road near the stadium.

The PM took the stage at 8pm and reminded everyone the reason for which this country received its Independendence - the March 7th speech by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in which he called on Bangladeshis to battle.

The performances in the concert were often punctuated by promo audio/visuals by CRI and Young Bangla.

This is the 6th edition of the Joy Bangla Concert, which is organized annually by Young Bangla and CRI to celebrate March 7, the date of the most iconic speech by Bangabandhu.

Saturday's concert also kicked off the events that have been arduously organized to celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.

By the time this report was written, Arbovirus had taken the stage. Then F Minor, Chirkutt, Nemesis and Cryptic Fate will rock the rock lovers of the nation.
