DU slips 200 places in QS rankings over 8yrs

It placed at 601+ in 2012

Dhaka University (DU) has slipped 200 places, from 601+ to between 800-1000 places in the QS World University Rankings, between 2012 and 2020.

After slipping into the 701+ rankings in 2014, it held its position till 2019, when it slipped to its current position. 

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Harvard University, University of Oxford, and California Institute of Technology (Caltech) form the top five in the university rankings for 2020.

QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British company specializing in education. 

Being the only international ranking to have received the International Ranking Expert Group (IREG) approval, the QS ranking is viewed as one of the three most-widely read university rankings in the world, along with the Academic Ranking of World Universities and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
