Biman flight delayed for 2 hours as pilot forgets to carry passport

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight was delayed for two hours at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka as the pilot of the flight forgot to carry his passport with him.

The incident took place on Wednesday night for BG121 of the national flag carrier.

The flight was scheduled to depart Dhaka for Muscat at 9.45pm. The respective pilot has been identified as Nasif Rahman Nafi, airport sources said.

Till filing this report at 11.45pm, it was learnt that the pilot had sent a messenger to his home to bring his passport and the flight did not to leave the airport.

No official comment from Biman Bangladesh Airlines was available while filing of the report.

Earlier, passengers completed all formalities at immigration and boarding, and took their seats inside the aircraft. However, the unusual delay has caused sufferings to over 100 passengers.
