Over 20 renowned companies, including multinationals have taken part in the fair
A two-day career fair has begun at University of Asia Pacific (UAP).
The fair titled “UAP Career Fair 2020” began on Monday morning.
The fair is organized by UAP in association with NRB Jobs Ltd. National daily Dhaka Tribune is the media partner of the event.
UAP Vice Chancellor Prof Jamilur Reza Choudhury inaugurated the fair as chief guest.
UAP Pro Vice Chancellor Prof MR Kabir, NRB Jobs Ltd Managing Director and CEO ME Chowdhury Shameem and Head of Business Nahid Ferdous Auny were present at the inauguration as special guests.
Over 20 renowned companies, including multinationals, corporates and development organizations will seek out new employees from the fair.
“We will collect the CVs of UAP graduates and graduating students and send those to the participating companies to make a short list of candidates. Spot interviews will be arranged on the second day of the fair for the short-listed applicants for each company,” an organizer of the fair said.
This career fair will widen the scope of jobs for the students. It will also build a strong awareness among the employers, the organizers said.
The fair will also be promoted through Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, electronic (TV, Radio) and print media. For making this fair more organized and output oriented, there will be a Facebook event page also, they added.
