The husband has been traceless since the body was recovered

A woman’s body has been recovered from her house in Gulshan.

Her body was found on Saturday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Selina Akter, 25, wife of Mehedi Hasan of Nayabari union in Dohar upazila.

The husband has been traceless since the body’s discovery.

Police suspect Mehedi’s involvement in the killing of his wife, after which he went into hiding.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Shah Alam, in-charge of Char Mohammadpur police outpost in Dohar, said, Selina along with her husband had been residing at the residence in Gulshan.

She was found unconscious in her room by her nephew Rahat, who was called to the scene by the manager of the residence.

The manager called Rahat after failing to reach Mehedi as his phone was unreachable.

Rahat took her to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Later, police recovered the body after it was sent to Mehedi’s home in Dohar and sent it to Mitford Hospital for an autopsy, SI Alam said, adding that the body bore injury marks on the face and chin.

A case was filed with the police station in this regard.
