The grand finale of the on-campus Hult Prize at Brac University, organized by the Brac Business School took place on December 14 at Brac Inn, Brac Centre.
The grand finale started at 6:30pm with the welcome speech of the campus director, Syed Afnan Hossain and Hult Prize coordinators from Brac Business School, Md Shamim Ahmed and Riyashad Ahmed. The judges were Prof Mohammad Mahboob Rahman, associate vice president and chief of staff, Brac University, Dr Sebastian Groh, associate professor, Brac Business School and managing director of SOLshare, AZM Saifuddin, managing director, Paper Rhyme Advertising Ltd, Zahra Mahbub, country director and CEO of KAZI IT Centre Ltd, and Mustafizur Rahman Khan, founder and CEO of Startup Dhaka.
After the teams pitched their ideas, the judges took some fifteen minutes to announce the winners on the basis of a unanimous decision, announcing Team Shurjomukhi as the winners who earned their ticket to the Regional round of the Hult Prize funded by Brac Business School. The position of first runner up was secured by Team Quadfecta, while Team Ignite became the second runner up, followed by Team Axiom as third runner up.
