Miscreants on Wednesday torched three motorcycles near the Supreme Court area of Dhaka.
However, police are not sure of their identities as of yet.
Confirming the matter, Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters’ duty officer Ershad Hossain said they were informed around 4:40pm that three motorcycles were torched. Three fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
He also said that one of the motorcycle was torched in Majar gate area and the other two were torched in main gate area. However, how the motorcycles were torched are not yet known.
Meanwhile, Shahbagh police OC Abul Hossain said they suspected that it was pre-planned. “Those, who doing such things are trying to create chaos.”
However, police are looking for any CCTV footage of that area, he added. “We are investigating the matter.”
Police did not arrest anyone over the incident, OC said.
It is to be noted that, the latest medical report of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s physical condition were suppose to reach the Supreme Court from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
