An informant of police has been hacked to death in Khilgaon area of Dhaka.
The incident occurred around 12:30am on Tuesday.
The deceased is Md Murad Bepari, 35, a resident of Munshiganj.
Police have arrested three people, including a local man named Mintu, in connection to the incident.
Quoting Murad's relatives, Khilgaon police station Sub-inspector (SI) Sujan Biswas said some local men took Murad to an under-construction building in Sipahibagh area.
The critically injured Murad was found with head and back wounds by his relatives.
Later on, he was admitted to Mugda General Hospital, where he died early Tuesday while undergoing treatment there.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy, he added.
