Home minister holds talks with transport sector leaders

Truck owners began indefinite countrywide strike across the country from 6am on Wednesday

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has held a discussion with the leaders of the Bangladesh Truck-Covered-van Goods Transport Owner-Worker Unity Council, over the ongoing indefinite strike across the country.

The meeting began at 9:20pm at the minister’s residence in Dhaka on Wednesday.

A section of the leaders met the home minister on Tuesday, but no solution came from it as the convener and member secretary of the council were not present in the meeting.

Bangladesh Truck-Covered-van Goods Transport Owners-Worker Unity Council has begun their strike across the country from 6am on Wednesday, demanding the amendment of the new Road Transport Act 2018.
