Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud said, the anti-graft watchdog will investigate all credible allegations of corruption, and it will file cases against people being involved in graft incidents.
The ACC chief made the statement while replying to queries at its headquarters in the capital on Sunday.
Iqbal Mahmud said: "If we receive specific complaints, we will carry out investigations into the allegations, and will file cases, and charge the violator based on evidence and documents following probes."
Replying to a question regarding apparent delays in completing investigations, Iqbal Mahmud said: "We are trying to finalize the charge sheets of all the pending cases. However, in some cases it's getting a little late, I'm also concerned about it."
In a major clampdown on gamblers, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on September 18, raided a number of illegal casinos in Dhaka city, and arrested persons who allegedly ran those illegal establishments.
Following the raids, the ACC decided to open investigations against more than 60 people, including three parliament members for amassing illegal wealth.
