German Alumni Night 2019 held

German Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Fahrenholtz has assured his support to promote academic exchange and scientific cooperation between Germany and Bangladesh.

He made the statement at the “German Alumni Night,” jointly organized by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dhaka and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Bangladesh for the second time at the embassy premises on Saturday, reports UNB.

The ambassador also appreciated the great interest from Bangladeshi youths in higher education opportunities in Germany.

The event was organized for former Bangladeshi students and researchers who pursued higher education in Germany.

DAAD Bangladesh representative Rumana Kabir mentioned that the event is a very important one since it is an opportunity to meet with so many of German Alumni from Bangladesh who often hold key positions in society.

The purpose of the event was to celebrate the achievements of the successful alumni, to establish a network-platform for future ventures and to create a bond between the alumni and German institutions present in Bangladesh that goes beyond research.

This initiative was highly appreciated by all participants, said the German Embassy in Dhaka.

Regular meetups and future projects are scheduled in the coming months and years to further leverage the fruitful academic exchange between the two countries and explore new opportunities.
