The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has raided an apartment building at Gulshan 2 in Dhaka.
The raid began at House No 11/A of Road No 99, at 8:30pm on Monday.
The operation was conducted based on the information gleaned from Salim Prodhan, an alleged owner of an online casino in Bangladesh.
Earlier on Monday, Salim was detained from Bangkok-bound Thai Airways flight at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
RAB Director (Legal and Media Wing) Sarwar Bin Kashem confirmed the detention and said Salim, who hails from Narayanganj, was taken to RAB office for primary interrogation.
Sources said Salim is allegedly involved with running an online casino, P24 gaming B2B Live Casino solutions, in Bangladesh.
