Benazir rules out any lack of coordination between RAB and police during casino operation
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General Benazir Ahmed has claimed all casinos have remained closed.
He told reporters after the RAB anti-terrorism drill in Dhaka's Banani area on Friday evening.
RAB DG said: "We have targeted the casinos. All of those are now closed, while many other issues linked to it are surfacing."
Pointing out that various types of information are coming to the fore about the number of casinos in the media, he said: "Some of you say there are 60 casinos, while others say 150 casinos. Where is the list?"
"We are working on the list we have. I made a clear statement that all casinos were dismantled. Inform us about a casino, we will conduct operation there."
Urging all not to spread rumour which damages operation credibility, Benazir ruled out any lack of coordination between RAB, and the police during the casino operation.
He said everyone would not get everything in all the drives.
"The operations are continuing. The country will never be allowed to become a country of miscreants," he added.
Mostafa Kamal Uddin, senior secretary of Public Security Division under Ministry of Home Affairs, was also present at the program as a chief guest.
