Anti-narcotics drive: 85 held in Dhaka

A total of 52 cases have been filed with different police stations under the Narcotics Control Act

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 85 people for selling and consuming drugs in Dhaka in the last 24 hours.

Till 6am on Friday, DMP recovered 5,252 pieces of yaba tablets, 617 grams of heroin, 460 grams of hemp, 20 bottles of phensidyl, 48 cans beer, and 26 ampoules of sedative injections from their possession during the anti-narcotics drive, said DMP Deputy Commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman.

A total of 52 cases were filed with different police stations under the Narcotics Control Act in this connection.
