A total of 10 firefighting units doused the fire
A five-member committee has been formed to investigate the recent fire at the headquarters of the Election Commission.
While talking to reporters early Monday, Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder said the committee, headed by Additional Secretary of the Election Commission Mokhlesur Rahman, has been asked to submit its report within three working days.
On Sunday night, a fire broke out at the Election Commission building in Agargaon area of Dhaka.
Quamrul Hasan, an operator at the Fire Service Central Control Room, said the fire originated in the basement around 11:06pm.
On information, 10 firefighting units rushed in and brought the fire under control around 12:30am on Monday.
