Dulu Miah is survived by two sons and a daughter
A rickshaw-puller died having being hit by a CNG auto-rickshaw in the capital's Jatrabari area on Thursday.
The deceased is identified as Dulu Miah, 45.
Jatrabari police station's Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Shaheen Mia confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
He said, the deadly accident occurred when a speeding three-wheeler CNG auto-rickshaw hit Dulu Miah while he was crossing the road near the Rayerbagh foot-over bridge, leaving him grievously injured.
He was then rushed to the Emergency Unit of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty medical officers declared him dead at 1:22pm.
Police said the body of Dulu Miah was handed over to his family without performing an autopsy.
The deceased is a son of Mujibar Rahman of the Gokulpur village under the Kotowali police station in the Rangpur district.
Dulu Miah lived in the Rayerbagh area. He is survived by two sons and a daughter.
