AL to form a monitoring cell to face dengue epidemic

Expert physicians to ensure that the best healthcare services are provided to dengue patients

Awami League has held an emergency meeting with leaders of physicians to hear their opinions for ensuring optimum services to dengue patients and implement effective measures to resist dengue epidemic.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, also Awami League general secretary, presided over the meeting that took place at the party President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office in Dhaka on Friday, a press release said.

In the meeting, it was decided that a monitoring cell will be formed, comprising of Awami League leaders and expert physicians, to ensure that the best healthcare services are provided to dengue patients in the capital as well as district and upazila-levels.

Opinions were taken from expert doctors at the meeting, to ensure all-out cooperation and healthcare services for dengue patients.

Awami League Joint General Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Abdur Rahman, Organising Secretaries BM Mozammel Haque, AFM Bahauddin Nasim and AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, among other central leaders, were present at the meeting.
