Health Minister Zahid Maleque is currently in Malaysia
Regarding Health Minister Zahid Maleque's overseas trip at a time when dengue has turned into an epidemic, Obaidul Quader has said his presence in the country is not essential.
Awami League General Secretary Quader also urged everyone to focus on the work that is going on to tackle the issue.
He made the statement while inaugurating Awami League’s cleanliness drive to prevent dengue on Wednesday.

Public Relations Officer of Health Ministry, Maidul Islam, said the minister left for Malaysia on July 27 and was supposed to come back on August 4.
The health minister will be back by Wednesday night, he added.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said he did not want to comment on the health minister’s Malaysia trip as it was personal.
Terming dengue as a human crisis, he added: “We must work together to fight this. The cleanliness drive will continue and necessary dengue tests will be done free of cost.”
