Rabiraag, a cultural organization dedicated to perform Rabindranath Tagore's song, held the program to celebrate monsoon
Doyel Chhattar, near Bangladesh Shishu Academy, became a festive centre on Friday when Rabiraag – a cultural organization performing Rabindranath Tagore's songs –hosted "Borsha Mongol", a program to celebrate the rainy season through dance rituals and musical performances.
The event started with the performance of an instrumental piece of monsoon hymn, followed by a colourful dance and a chorus of artists singing Rabindra songs.
The event was dedicated to the late journalist and noted media personality Muhammad Jahangir. Renowned Rabindra artists and teachers and students of Rabiraag participated in the event, President of Rabiraag and celebrated Rabindra song singer Amina Ahmed said.
Sadi Muhammad, key artist of Rabiraag said: “Jahangir was a well-wisher of Rabiraag and has always stood by the cultural group since its foundation 32 years ago.”
The event was organized by super-shop chain Meena Bazar, sweets shop Meena Sweets and Kazi & Kazi Tea, with online portal Bangla Tribune as the media partner.
