Brac University has become one of only two South Asian universities to join Ashoka University’s #MillionsofChangemakers campaign.

Launched with support from Schmidt Futures, Ashoka University’s #MillionsofChangemakers campaign invites selectively chosen changemakers from leading academic institutions, ecosystem building organizations, and individuals from 14 countries.
By being selected, Brac University has joined the ranks of 73 institutions that have made commitments to the campaign thus far.
Brac University has committed to developing an ecosystem of schools through their Centre for Emotional Intelligence and Innovation’s (CEII) Empathy Lab School Outreach Program by embedding emotional intelligence, empathy and universal human values in education.
‘Our goal is to have 100 partner schools in the country over a period of 3 years, engaging 100,000 young changemakers across Bangladesh,’ said Abdullah R Chowdhury, director of the CEII at Brac University.
On a larger scale, Brac University’s commitment represents a deep-rooted dedication to work together with other institutions to collectively bring about and accelerate change in its own community and in the larger global space.
Ashoka University is the higher education initiative of Ashoka - the world’s largest community of changemakers.
Since 2008, Ashoka University has worked with more than 500 colleges and universities to help build a world where everyone is a changemaker.
