ULAB, Dhaka Tribune signs MoU

DT employees to get 40% waiver in ULAB, ULAB graduates to receive internship, job opportunities

Dhaka Tribune has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) to work together in assisting employees of Dhaka Tribune in improving their academic attainments at ULAB.

The MoU creates an opportunity of tuition waiver and scholarship provisions for DT employees at the university only at the graduate level studies which will not exceed 40% in all.

ULAB Vice Chancellor Prof HM Jahirul Haque and Dhaka Tribune Editor Zafar Sobhan signed the agreement at an event held at ULAB campus yesterday.

Prof Imran Rahman, special adviser to the ULAB Board of Trustees, and Dhaka Tribune Executive Editor Reaz Ahmad also attended the event, among others.

According to the MoU, ULAB will offer scholarships to Dhaka Tribune employees to pursue their graduate education in any discipline at ULAB, while Dhaka Tribune will work with ULAB Career Service Office to offer internship and full-time job opportunities for suitable ULAB graduates/graduating students.

The memorandum will be in effect for next five years.
