Police have yet to arrest anyone in relation with the murder
A man has been found with his throat slit in Dhaka.
The incident occurred in the capital's Uttara area around 12:45am on Friday when an unknown number of miscreants slit the man's throat – supposedly to steal the car.
The deceased, Md Arman, 42, used to provide Uber services with a rented car.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, Uttara (West) police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mushfiqur Rahman said: "We have recovered the body and it has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
"We are trying to arrest the ones responsible for this murder. Necessary steps will be taken upon further investigation."
"Based on our initial investigation, we suspect that Arman was killed by a group of muggers who were trying to steal his car," he added.
When contacted, Armna's brother-in-law Md Nasim said: "Arman lived in Dhaka's Pallabi area with his wife, daughter, and son.
"He used provide Uber services with a rented car."
"We want justice for Arman and demand the culprits be arrested as soon as possible," he added.
