Turkish ambassador pays courtesy call on DNCC mayor

The Turkish Ambassador showed interest in providing training for Bangladeshi individuals on various sectors

Turkey's Ambassador to Bangladesh, Devrim Öztürk, has paid a courtesy call on Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam.

During the visit yesterday, the DNCC Mayor emphasized the importance of historical and friendly ties between the two countries.

"Our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam had written a poem named 'Kamal Pasha' about Turkey's Father of the Nation. Dhaka and Chittagong both have avenues named 'Kamal Ataturk.' Both the friendly countries can work together for the city’s development," the DNCC Mayor said.

The Turkish Ambassador showed interest in providing training on: healthcare, waste management, children's cultural training, and ensuring fire safety measures.
