Russian Ambassador in Dhaka Alexander Ignatov has called on Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam.
The meeting took place at Nagar Bhaban around 11am on Sunday.
During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues with promising assurance to boost cooperation further between the two countries.
The mayor has expressed his views on transforming Dhaka into a modern city with aesthetic and eco-friendly structures and technological amenities.
Mayor Atiqul told the Russian ambassador that both countries can work together to fulfill that vision.
Ambassador Ignatov has invited Mayor Atiqul to join the Moscow Urban Forum 2019, which to be held in Moscow in July.
DNCC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Md Abdul Hai was also present during the courtesy call.
