Home minister to US embassy: Share info on threats, if any

Recently, the US embassy in Dhaka issued a travel alert for its citizens planning to travel Bangladesh

Bangladesh has urged the US to share information regarding any threats against their citizens currently in the country or planning to come to Bangladesh.

The US embassy to Dhaka, Bangladesh, issued the alert on April 3.  

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal made the remark while addressing the press after inaugurating the “Transnational Crime: Saarc Perspective” course at the Police Staff College in Dhaka's Mirpur around 11:30am on Sunday.

Commenting on the recent travel alert issued by the US Embassy in Dhaka, the minister said: "It has become a habit of the US to issue travel alerts for their citizens in different countries.

"If US officials have any information regarding the threats against their citizens in Bangladesh, they should provide us with related intelligence."
