Amounts as small as Tk100 can be donated through this service

The Liberation War Museum has started collecting financial aid  jointly with bKash, to carry forward the work and activities of our Liberation War history.

The “Small Efforts will Protect History” program was inaugurated, where a page (payment gateway) of the museum’s website was launched, for  donations to the Liberation War Museum, Agargaon, on Friday morning.

Through this, anyone can donate any amount of money to the museum by bKash at any time.

With the payment getaway, it has now become easy to donate amounts as small as Tk100. bKash will not have any service charge for the payments.

Donations can be given through the link https://www.liberationwarmuseumbd.org/bkash/.

After entering the page through this link, donors have to put in their name, email ID, and the amount of money. Then a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to their cell phone numbers after the bkash number in entered. The payment can be completed by putting in the OTP and pin number.

A certificate and a memorandum photo will be sent to the email address of the donor after the donation process is completed.

Liberation War Museum Trustee Mafidul Haque said: “It is required for everyone from every generation to come forward for the conservation of the glorious history of the War of Liberation.

“In a very small scale, the museum that started the preservation of our history, has now been recognized and enriched as an effective organization with much participation from many. But still there is a lot of work to do,  further improvements are needed, and that is why more funding is required,” he said.

“In this era of information technology, this generation can become a part of the nation to protect its glorious history by donating to the Liberation War Museum Fund through internet. Such small efforts of many people will be able to manage the museum more accurately to maintain history,” Mafidul added.

Chief Executive Officer of bkash, Kamal Kadir, said: “bKash is proud to be able to join the Liberation War Museum to make it more vigorous in establishing the form of liberation war for today's generation.

“We hope countless subscribers and their families across the country will get the opportunity to engage with such a great initiative by using the online service of bkash,” he added.
